Ok, you have to try these. I can't understand why you wouldn't, because who wouldn't want to eat all the doughnuts you can and still look good this summer?!
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
½ cup soy or almond milk
¼ cup maple syrup
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp non aluminum baking powder
¼ tsp sea salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease nonstick donut baking pan. In a medium bowl add flour, baking powder, and salt. In a small bowl, mix milk, maple syrup, oil, and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients, and mix until combined but do not overmix.
Spoon into baking pan evenly, smoothing top as needed. Place into oven and bake for 12 minutes. Remove from oven, inverting pan on a baking rack. Cover with glaze, topping, powdered sugar, etc. Eat same day.
I put a maple glaze and carob sauce on mine.
