Blueberry Smoothie (Vegan)

This morning I woke up feeling for a smoothie for breakfast. I know Daevyd loves blueberries so I decided to make a blueberry smoothie with the addition of spinach and chia seeds. The recipe contains 1 banana but I had to add 1 extra for Daevyd he wanted it sweeter, for me it was just fine though. The chia seeds added more body and made me feel satisfied after. You can use my almond milk recipe or store bought. Silk has now removed carrageenan, a questionable processed ingredient extracted from red sea weed, read more here. I love to use frozen bananas instead of ice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1-2 bananas
  • A handful of baby spinach
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Directions:

Place almond milk, blueberries, banana, baby spinach and chia seeds in a high speed blender and process until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
