Cabbage Curry

Vegan, gluten-free Jamaican-style curry cabbage recipe with thyme and coconut milk. Other curry dishes recommended.


– 2 pounds green cabbage, – 2 tablespoons coconut oil – 1/2 cup onion, chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 green onion, chopped – 1 teaspoon ground coriander – 1 teaspoon ground turmeric – 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves,  – 1/2 teaspoon cumin – 1 carrot, chopped – 1-14 ounce can coconut milk – 1/2 cup water – 1 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste

Cook cabbage

Cook cabbage in oil/water/broth with onions, garlic, green onion, and carrot.

Add spices

Add coriander, turmeric, thyme, and cumin to the mixture.

Pour coconut milk

Pour coconut milk and water into the pot.


Simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve and enjoy!
