Delicious Bammy Recipe 

Easy grated cassava disc, skillet cooked, moistened with coconut milk, vegan and gluten-free.

Jamaican bammy


– Cassava: 1 1/2 pound, peeled and grated – Salt: 1/4 teaspoon – Coconut milk: 1/2 cup, for soaking – Oil: for frying

Grate and Squeeze

Grate cassava using the smallest holes of a box grater and squeeze out the white liquid.


Mix with Salt

Add salt to the grated cassava and mix well.


Cook Cassava Disk

Form a disk with one cup of dry cassava and cook on both sides for 10 minutes in a lightly greased frying pan.


Fry Bammy Golden

Soak bammy in coconut milk for 10 minutes and fry in oil until golden brown on each side, for about 3 minutes.
