Healthy Cranberry Apple Sauce

– 12 ounces fresh cranberries – 1 Gala apple, peeled and diced – 1 cup apple juice – 1 cup coconut sugar – 1 teaspoon orange zest – 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger


1. Place cranberries, apples, apple juice, coconut sugar, orange zest and ginger in a saucepan over medium heat.

2. Bring to boil and reduce to simmer for 10-15 minutes or until cranberries pop and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.

3. The sauce will further thicken as it cools.

4. Keep refrigerated.
