Jamaican Chop Suey Recipe

Jamaican chop suey is a delicious and versatile dish blending Chinese and Jamaican flavors. Result of migration and cultural exchange.

Jamaican Chop Suey


– Bok choy – Olive oil – Onion – Garlic – Scotch Bonnet pepper – Carrot – Tamari, soy sauce or Bragg's Liquid Aminos – Himalayan pink salt – Black pepper

Sauté vegetables

Sauté onions, garlic, carrot, Scotch Bonnet pepper, black pepper, and pink Himalayan salt in olive oil.


Add bok choy

Add chopped bok choy and sauté for a minute or two, then pour in tamari and mix well.


Pour tamari, mix.

Cook on high heat for about 6 minutes until bok choy is soft and wilted.


Cook and serve.

Serve once all liquid evaporates from the skillet.
