My hubby bought Schar’s Pizza Crust and so I decided to make some pizza sauce for it. I decided to whip up this incredibly tasty pizza sauce and let me tell you, it tasted better than any store brought pizza sauce,
The good thing is this pizza is made from scratch with ingredients readily stocked in most pantries. This simple pizza sauce is packed with flavor. Around the holidays I also love to make my Mediterranean Pumpkin Pizza and my Jamaican Ackee Pizza.

the ingredients includes 1 can of tomato sauce. To clarify, is this store-bought tomato sauce, if so, do you have any suggestions? Are we okay to substitute actual tomatos instead, maybe 3-4 large tomatos?
thanks in advance :)
Alexandra, I used the 365 Brand organic tomato sauce, I specifically used storebought because I wanted a quick and easy dump and mix recipe that didn’t require cooking, if you use fresh tomatoes then you will have to cook the sauce until you get the required thickness. I only made the recipe as written and would have to experiment with fresh tomatoes and make the necessary adjustments sometime in the future. If you try it and it works for you with fresh tomatoes, please let us know.
Delish!!!
Thank you Lana!
