Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby carrots or 4 medium carrots peeled and cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons Vegan Butter or avocado oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • lemon juice

Instructions

  • To make basil carrot, heat vegan butter in a large saucepan, add carrots, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, and salt, and stir.
  • Cook for 1 minute, add water, bring to a simmer, cover saucepan, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add lemon juice and stir; serve immediately.
