BBQ Cauliflower Wings

These flavorful Barbecue Cauliflower Wings are easy to prepare, and are also vegan and gluten-free. They are made with cauliflower florets that are dunked in a seasoned batter and baked until crisp instead of fried, then smothered in barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium cauliflower
  • 1 cup brown rice flour or chickpea flour
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water to form a thick past
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 450 degrees F. Wash and break cauliflower into florets and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine brown rice flour, onion powder, garlic powder, paprka, smoked paprika, cumin and salt. Add water and whisk together until smooth.
  • Add caulilfower florets and toss to fully coat, making sure batter cover all sides of the florets. Shake off excess and transferr floret onto baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crisp. Remove from oven and toss with barbecue sauce. Return to oven to crisp up for about 5 more minutes.
