Ingredients

  • 1 16-ounces extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons Bragg's liquid aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cajun or Creole seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spray with cooking spray or brush with oil, set aside.
  • Remove tofu from the package, drain the tofu, cover with paper towels, place on a plate, and press down to remove excess liquid.
  • Mash tofu into small pieces using your fingers, fork, or potato masher.
  • Combine olive oil, Bragg's Liquid Aminos, nutritional yeast flakes, and Cajun or Creole seasoning in a medium bowl. Mix well.
  • Pour mixture over crumbled tofu and mix well to coat.
  • Spread tofu crumbles in a thin layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and looks like ground meat.
  • Keep checking on the tofu and turn over to make sure they cook as evenly as possible and not burn.
