  • 1 pound carrot
  • 2 tablespoons Vegan Butter
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon organic cane sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Wash the carrots and peel them. Remove the crown and dice in slices.
  • In a saucepan, add water and place it on medium heat.
  • Once the water starts boiling, add carrots and boil for about 5 minutes or until the carrots are tender.
  • Once the carrots are done, drain them and pass them through cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • Place the carrots back in the saucepan, and place the saucepan on the stove.
  • Add vegan butter, organic cane sugar, maple syrup, grated ginger, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Stir well so that the ingredients coat the carrots.
  • Cook the carrots for about 2 to 3 minutes until the glaze bubbles.
  • Turn off the heat and let them cool. The candied carrots are ready.
