Ingredients

  • 1-12 ounces bag fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup ground cherries
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup or cane sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 stick cinnamon or 1/4 teaspoon powder

Instructions

  • Sort cranberries discarding any bad ones, rinse cranberries, and ground cherries, drain.
  • Place cranberries, ground cherries, maple syrup, water, and cinnamon stick in a medium sauce to boil on medium-high.
  • Cook until berries pop and sauce is thick enough to your liking, about 10 minutes. Discard cinnamon stick and taste if the sauce is to your liking. Add more sweetener if desire.
