As the winter season arrives, all you can see is a different type of citrus fruit in the grocery store. Citrus fruit comes in a variety of sizes, colors, and flavors. Among the many different types of oranges, limes, and lemons, many of us love grapefruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 large grapefruit
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger

Instructions

  • Peel grapefruit and separate its segments.
  • In a high-speed blender jug, pour pineapple juice.
  • Add pineapple chunks and ginger.
  • Start the blender and process until you get a smooth texture.
  • Pour the smoothie into an ice-filled glass and serve immediately.
