Freezing Sliced Raw Sweet Potatoes
Scrub sweet potato, you can leave the skin on or peel.
Cut sweet potato into slices, preferably 1 inch or thinner.
Next, blanch sweet potato slices in boiling water for 3 minutes.
Remove from the ice bath and dry the sweet potato slices. Place the slices in a freezer bag or container.
Remove them from boiling water and submerge them in icy water for two or three minutes.
Make sure you squeeze all the air out of the bag before putting them in a freezer.
Freezing Sliced Boiled Sweet Potatoes
Scrub sweet potato, you can leave the skin on or peel.
Put some water in a large pot and let it boil. Meanwhile, slice sweet potato to the desired size.
Boil the potato slices for anywhere between ten and fifteen minutes.
Let them cool off at room temperature.
Place slices in a freezer bag and write the date on the bag. Place in the freezer.
Freezing Whole Baked Sweet Potatoes
Preheat oven to 400℉.
Scrub potatoes and pierce with a fork or knife, place them in an ovenproof pan.
Bake sweet potato until tender, around an hour. Once they are done, you should let them cool.
Wrapping them in parchment paper once they are cool enough to handle, then place in a freezer bag.
Squeeze the air out of the freezer bag and label the bag with the date.
Place the bag in the freezer, and they will stay fresh for over a year.
