Pecan Milk

 Pecans are rich in nutrients and pecan milk is easy to make and it is incredibly delicious and can be consumed alone or combined with other tasty treats!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw pecans rinsed
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Add water, pecans to a high-speed blender. Soak your pecans for 2 hours in water or overnight if you are using a regular blender. No need to soak if you are using a high-speed blender
  • Process until its smooth and creamy.
  • Strain the pecan milk using a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer.
  • Reserve the pulp for adding to your smoothies, baked goods, or compost.
  • Add vanilla, maple syrup, or your favorite sweetener and stir.
  • Store in a container with a tight-fitting lid and store in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days or in the freezer for longer.
  • Shake pecan milk before serving because it will separate.
