Thanks for the recipe on the vegetable based home made juice. The recipe you have suggested include ingredients rich in vitamins and minerals, and the way you have blended them together is absolutely creative. Keep up your good work in sharing the pride to be a veggie.

While getting seven to eight hours of sleep a night can be difficult, Jayson Kroner at has some tips: Cut your caffeine intake, sleep less during the day, supplement melatonin, avoiding heavy meals before bed and make sure all of the lights are out when you lie down to sleep. Thanks.

But why do these ethnic groups have a higher chance to be diabetic?

Your chances of developing diabetes later in life increases if you have one or more family members with the disease. In addition, Native Americans, African Americans and Hispanics have a high rate of diabetes. Thanks.

Commercial juicing focuses mostly on fruit juices, judging by the ratio of fruit to vegetable juices available in grocery markets. Residential juicing is often practiced for dietary reasons or as a form of alternative medicine. Thanks.

If you guys are looking for the best juicer on the market, consider the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth 67650.

It’s Consumer Reports’ best juicer (4/5 for juicing, 5/5 convenience and 2/5 for noise).

It’s 50$ on Amazon USA, cheapo! I got one myself and it’s really respectable, although it does make a lot of noise! Just shut it in-between loading.

    I swear I’m not a Hamilton Beach shill! :)

When I’m juicing all I drink are juices (like the above juice plus green juice), water ,non-caffeinated herbal teas, and a vegetable broth.

I have just found your site and am very excited. I am wanting to begin juicing and have all of your recipes. One questions right off the top, is this all you drink and/or eat all day or does it replace one meal?

DeAnne, if you don’t already have a juicer then I would say go ahead and use your Vitamix, the result be be more like a raw soup/smoothie consistency but I’m sure will taste good. When I posted this recipe I was actually on a juice feast.

Can I use a vitamix for this or do I need a juicer?

Ok, I know I’m not right. My absolute first thought was to add vodka to this and serve them for our annual Mother’s Day Brunch! But hey, what better way to get my slacker friends and family into juicing?
