Step 1: Start by washing and trimming the broccoli rabe. Make sure you wash it thoroughly to eliminate any dirt. Next, let it dry either in the strainer or on a kitchen towel. Trim the hard edges using a sharp knife.
Step 2: Next, you have to blanch the broccoli rabe. For that, boil water in a large pot. Add broccoli rabe and let it boil for about 3 minutes or until it is tender.
