Topping or Serving Suggestions

Among different delectable ways, I enjoy topping these delicious French toast with:

  • Fresh berries
  • Dairy-free whipped cream
  • Dried cranberries
  • Toasted almonds or walnuts
  • Warm maple syrup
  • Granola

Isn’t it clear that there is no limit to what can be done? If you’re hosting a large crowd around for the holidays, this dish would be ideal for a buffet-style breakfast bar. It’s a real crowd-pleaser!

Keep The Warmth Of Your French Toast Till Serving!

Preheat your oven to 250°F, before starting frying. Then set a wire rack on the baking sheet and put it in the oven. Transfer your eggnog French toast to the rack while you’re making it so that each bite is just as warm and delectable as the last.

Storing Suggestion

The French toast can be refrigerated for 3 days after cooking, cooling, and stored in a container with a tight-fitting lid or ziplock bag. You can also freeze these French toast in freezer containers for 2 to 3 months.

Make-Ahead: You can make the batter the day before and store it in the fridge.

Recipe Note

  • It doesn’t matter how old your bread is. When you dip it in the Eggnog mixture it will become fresh. Make sure the bread doesn’t have any mold on it.
  • You can choose your favorite flavored maple syrup.
  • Preheat the pan to prevent the batter or bread from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • You can also use store-bought vegan eggnog in this recipe.
