Vegan Garlic Bread
I haven’t enjoyed baguettes in years since eating gluten-free, so I decided to purchase these Schar’s gluten-free vegan baguettes from Amazon. They didn’t disappoint at all, and in fact really hit the spot.
I used them to make these super soft and buttery homemade garlic bread. You honestly couldn’t tell that they weren’t regular wheat based bread. My son, Daevyd, enjoyed the warm, garlicky, cheesy, and melt in your mouth goodness.
This vegan garlic is delicious served with my Lentil Meatballs and some gluten-free spaghetti.

Garlic Benefits
I tend to add garlic to all of my meals, and it is honestly not on purpose. However, you can supplement your diet with garlic, and it will not even feel like supplementation since it is used as a seasoning aid.
I believe nearly every civilization that has had access to garlic has used it as medicine, and rightfully so. Garlic has been documented as such going back to ancient history.
Garlic has sulfur compounds that affect a whole host of biological functions in a positive way.
Studies have shown that eating garlic can help to prevent a common cold in a large percentage of subjects, and those who got sick had a less severe or shorter illness on average.
Garlic helps those with hypertension (high blood pressure) and high LDL (bad) cholesterol by lowering both.
In several different studies, garlic seems to help with longevity and increased quality of life.
As always, please do not come off any medication or make any dietary changes without discussing it with your medical provider.
However, all in all, one can see how adding garlic to your food can not only make it taste delicious, but help keep you healthy.
Vegan Garlic Bread Ingredients
This simple recipe only requires three ingredients:
How To Make Garlic Bread?
- Preheat oven 400℉. Cut the baguette into thick slices, about 1 inch thick, leaving a small fraction of the base intact to hold the bread together.
- Spread the garlic butter on both sides of the slices and all over the top and sides of baguette. Wrap the baguette with parchment paper, then secure with aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped baguette on a cookie sheet just in case there is any dripping. Bake for 15 minutes. Place the baguette pieces on a platter and sprinkle with parsley flakes.
I adapted the method from RecipeTinEats. Make sure that you do wrap the bread with parchment paper and foil, and not let it bake uncovered. This ensures that the bread will be soft and moist, otherwise if it is not covered, it will become dry and overly crusty.

Vegan Garlic Bread
Ingredients
- 1 baguette I used Schar’s gluten-free, vegan brand
- 1 recipe of vegan garlic butter click for the link to the recipe
- dried parsley flakes garnish
Instructions
