This garlic butter recipe is so easy to prepare in minutes, the best vegan butter that is so delicious it can be used on steamed veggies, baked potatoes, rice, bread, and pasta.
I decided to make a batch of garlic butter today after I received a box of gluten-free vegan baguettes that I ordered. I couldn’t wait to make garlic bread.
I whipped up this yummy garlic herb butter in no time and the flavor was out of this world, garlicky and buttery. Nothing like good homemade garlic butter.

Garlic Butter Ingredients
- Vegan Butter – I used Earth Balance Non-Dairy Spread
- Fresh Garlic
- Garlic Powder
- Italian Seasoning
- Nutritional Yeast Flakes
- Salt
- Vegan Parmesan (Optional)
How To Make Vegan Garlic Butter?
For the vegan butter, make your own Homemade Vegan Butter or you can use Earth Balance Buttery Spread but there are other vegan substitutes on the market that can be used instead. I love to use the combination of fresh garlic and garlic powder in my garlic butter.
I used Italian seasoning but you can substitute it with your favorite herbs such as parsley, oregano, basil, thyme. Of course, you can use about 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh herbs.
For a cheesy flavor, you can add nutritional yeast flakes and or vegan Parmesan. I used Violife Parmesan which is amazing!
To prepare the vegan garlic butter, mix together, vegan butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, nutritional yeast flakes, grated vegan Parmesan in a bowl. Add salt to taste.
You can make Garlic Bread and also serve over delicious Baked Sweet Potatoes.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Vegan Butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon nutritional yeast flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons vegan Parmesan, optional
Instructions
- Mix together, vegan butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, nutritional yeast flakes, grated vegan Parmesan in a bowl.
- Add salt to taste.
This is delicious! It is absolutely a “Keeper”. Even though I had to sub a few ingredients ( 1/2 tsp. Nutritional yeast POWDER instead of 1 tsp. Flakes and pre minced bottled garlic from the fridge 1 tsp. per garlic clove) it was amazingly delicious. Thank you for this recipe. My new go to for garlic butter.
