What is the best juicer for making fresh juice?

When you are out looking for juicers, you will find several types and technologies. As a result, making a decision can be very difficult and confusing. However, if you ask me, I can break down everything into simple information.

Now, there are two main types of juicers, i.e., centrifugal juicers and mastication/cold press juicers. Centrifugal juicers are the ones that our mother or grandmother used. They are usually high in wattage and super-duper fast.

However, there is one drawback. Because they are very fast (we are talking about 10,000 to 14,000 RPM), the machine tends to heat up, resulting in warm juice.

Warm juice means fewer nutrients, a shorter shelf life, and more foam. However, several brands have come up with revolutionary technologies that retain nutrients in the juice.

In contrast, mastication technology is a relatively new concept. This technology imitates the mechanisms of human teeth and their movements and functions.

In other words, when we eat food, our teeth perform different functions in grinding, breaking, chewing, tearing, shredding, etc.; the specially designed blades do that at a slow speed, which is usually 80 to 100 RPM.

As a result, more nutrients are extracted from the fruits. Moreover, the juice is healthier, has a longer shelf life, and has less foam. Mastication juicers are also widely known as cold press juicers.

  10. The discipline of juicing gave me greater control over my appetite and boosted my willpower in general.

Fat Burner Juice

Ingredients:

  • 6 carrots
  • a handful of kale or other green leafy vegetables
  • 1 lemon

Directions:

  1. My wife and I wanted to start juicing so I had to do a bit of research on them and found the Omega VRT350 well regarded by many. I got it at BB&B using one of the 15% coupons so if we didn’t like it we could take it back without paying shipping. After using it twice a day for a week I am happy to say we will not be taking it back, it is a keeper. We are juicing our way through the rest of our kale, chard, mint, and parsley in the garden before the hard freeze set in and wipes them out.

  2. Skeeter, I personally have a Champion juicer which is faithful. I also have a Breville juicer, I like it because I can fit a whole apple in the feeder tube or 5 carrots at once.The Greenstar is good for juicing greens.

  6. Michelle, you mentioned adding oil, for all others, adding oil allows you to better digest not only the water soluble, but also the fat-soluble components (beta-carotenes and more) of the juice. Besides flax seed oil (best from freshly ground flax seed – just use a blender, pulverize), I like walnut oil (> 50% poly fats, omega 3 : 6 ration about 1: 3.5. perfect). Without the oil, you are missing out on some of the benefits of the juice.
    While doing a complete juice fast, with only vege juice, water, teas, I have found that taking a tsp of fiber supplement in the morning, I could keep my digestive system moving (slowly, but nevertheless) the entire 9 days, so the waste did not end up staying in my body. Re-adding some of the fiber removed in juicing and/or the fiber from the ground flax seed, may have the same effect.

  8. My smoothies consist of greens and berries and I make them in a small personal size blender. It is quick, convenient and you have nothing left over and make it fresh for breakfast. First I add the greens and at least 2 or shredded carrots, and use KEFIR in my smoothie. I buzz that for a while before adding the partially thawed berries. IF you like banana, add just a half, because banana seems to over power the flavor, and you can add pineapple juice for sweetness too. Then I add organic berries, what ever I have in the freezer, add wheat germ, chia seeds, and top with chopped almonds. Absolutely fabulous start for the day! The smoothie is much more nutritious than any cereal on the market. I gave up Kashi cereal a long time ago. This drink covers all bases, greens, reds, orange, yellow……in the fruit and veggie spectrum. The wheat germ, it is a powerhouse of Thiamine, Magnesium, Vitamin E, Folic Acid and Iron and Protein. This is a much forgotten grain that people should be adding to their daily regimen. I use Hodgson Mill’s and it is verified NON-GMO!
