Words Of Encouragement For Widows
Life is full of uncertainties and nothing is guaranteed for sure. Although sometimes evil storms can blow against even the children of God, it doesn’t go to say that God has abandoned them.
We may lose physical properties and quickly recover, but losing a loved one is nothing compared to the pain and vacuum losing material things bring.
The excruciating pain a woman goes through when she loses her husband may not be one a normal person can relate to. This is not easy to deal with, and it takes so much help to go through what comes next.
God created man to be the cover for his wife and family. It says:
“For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.” Ephesians 5:23 KJV
This means losing a husband is losing a head. The head is representative of covering and security. It takes the help of God to recover from this. Every widow must have her heart turned towards God for the help that no one else can give.
Coping With Life
For many widows, it doesn’t get easier after losing a husband. This may not be peculiar to all widows, but those who fall into this category are far more than those without.
There are difficulties after the death of a husband. If not a financial difficulty, then it may be something else like children becoming a pain, attacks from your husband’s family, or some health challenge that leaves you feeling all alone in your struggles.
But whatever situation you may find yourself in, there’s an answer that God provides. There’s God’s voice always speaking in the storm.
Life may be showing ugly sides at this time. You may be thinking you’ve exhausted all strategies and solutions you know are applicable, yet you’re not getting out of the mud.
Be strong. God is with you!
Sometimes, it even gets worse when it looks like God isn’t even hearing you and answering your prayers. Please, don’t get discouraged. Or rather, don’t let discouragement get the best of you.
It’s natural for humans to faint, especially when there’s so much weighing on their shoulders. But the counsel of God is that you don’t despair. Don’t be discouraged!
Are You Struggling With The Kids?
As much as children are a heritage from God, they can be manipulated into being the cause of our sorrows.
When you find yourself in such a situation, you have to look up to God. Your children are a gift from God, and if something goes wrong with them, you must look back to God for help.
Children can be misled and go astray mostly in their adolescent years. They may have conformed to other ideas that are contrary to what you’ve taught them and what God wants for them.
I encourage you not to give up on them. I encourage you to continue in prayer for them. You must stand in the gap and intercede for them.
You must be strong and take your requests to God in the way that gets you answers. If you’ve been praying and it seems not to be changing, now is not the time to give up but to step up.
The continuous prayer of a righteous person will produce results. The Bible says about fervent prayers:
“… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16 KJV
Your prayers are awaited in heaven. God hears them and you will see your answers soon. Your children will be released from that bondage of deception and come to the light of God.
You have a promise from God that your children are a blessed heritage. They are to be a blessing to you and not the source of your problems.
Now that you need them the most, God will cause them to be on the same page with you, so that you may progress and be at peace.
God will sustain you and give you joy through the children that He gave you.
Having Financial Difficulties?
I know many things need money to fix, and there may be issues that need urgent attention.
But you must maintain your peace and let God give you what you need at the right time. Your peace is very important as you wait on God.
He has made all things and providing for you will never be too hard for Him. Here’s what God is saying to you:
“Be still, and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10 KJV
Sometimes, that’s all you need to do, “Be still”. Sometimes, the storm becomes too boisterous and you can’t see through all the raging waves. At such times, you have to be still and look unto the God you serve.
He cares about you and knows what you need. He’s your heavenly Father, and keeper of the widow’s fortune. Here’s what the bible says:
“The LORD tears down the house of the proud but maintains the widow’s boundaries.”
God keeps everything that belongs to you preserved and makes sure it gets to you. This includes your fortunes that wicked people may have tried to rob you of.
So often, this is the challenge for widows. They have fortunes left behind for them by their husbands, but family, government, or some other evil people want to take everything away.
But this verse says that God maintains the widow’s boundaries. God keeps the widow’s inheritance so she and her family are not ashamed.
God is keeping everything you’ve lost, and He will restore it all to you in no distant time. He is a restorer. You must know this.
So, whatever may be blocking your financial success, God will remove it.
You may be out of jobs, but God will give you one that wipes away your tears. God is making a way in the desert and paths in the wilderness.
God is opening doors of financial success to you. He doesn’t want to see you crying those tears anymore. He doesn’t want you weeping at night when you should be sleeping.
God cares so much for you. He knows what you seek and He wants you safe and at peace.
God’s Plan
God’s plan for you is to prosper you and keep you strong and able to serve Him. He gives you health, peace, and favor because He’s a loving God and Father.
The word of God in the book of John expresses the plan of God for His children. It says:
“ Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2 KJV
If you grasp the full meaning of this intent, you’ll understand the will of God for you. While your soul is prospering, being safe and secure in Christ, your life on earth is also a concern for God.
He wants you out of that pain you’re going through. He wants you to see better days and long life. God wants you to have peace in your heart – the peace that is divine and exists even in the absence of material things.
God is faithful and merciful. He cares for the widow because He knows how evil men can be to take advantage of those who seem weaker.
But God will keep the widow and safeguard her. God places a curse on whoever tries to take undue advantage of a widow. God says:
“Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.” Deuteronomy 27:19 KJV
In conclusion
I hope you were blessed by these Words Of Encouragement For Widows. Remember that no matter what happens in your life, God has a special plan for your life. He cares for you and he is always with you.
