Teriyaki noodles are a super simple dish. It is made using simple ingredients. The best thing is that you can customize this dish and add so much to it. You can use whatever vegetables you have in your kitchen pantry and cook a perfectly tasteful teriyaki noodle dish.
There are two primary ingredients that are responsible for adding all the flavor. These are the liquid aminos and maple syrup. These two ingredients offer sweetness and a savory flavor. Add whatever vegetables you must and enjoy a tasteful plate of food.
You can make this noodle dish using eight simple ingredients. Here is what you will need:
- Noodles: The main ingredient used for this recipe are noodles. There are so many different types of noodles available in the market. So, you are free to use any type you like. I have used gluten-free ramen for this recipe, but you can use whole wheat, soba, or hand-pulled noodles as well.
- Carrot: Carrots add a crunch to this humble noodle dish. Carrots are loaded with nutrients and bring in a pop of color as well.
- Onion: use a small onion for an extra boost of flavor.
- Garlic: Garlic adds a prominent savory flavor to this noodle dish. If you don’t have fresh garlic, use garlic powder.
- Bragg’s liquid aminos: Bragg’s liquid aminos are an amazing ingredient. It is made from vegan ingredients and is 100% gluten-free. Its flavor resembles soy sauce a lot. It has a salty and savory flavor which is almost umami. If you don’t have gluten issues, you can use soy sauce or tamari for this recipe as well.

How to make teriyaki noodles?
Making teriyaki noodles is super easy. All you have to do is follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Firstly, you have to boil the noodles. For that, simply boil salted water and add noodles. Cook until they are tender. Drain the noodles and run cold water over them to store them from further cooking. Set the noodles aside.
Step 2: To make the sauce, start by heating sesame oil in a skillet or a wok. Add onion and cook until soft, stir in garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant. Next, add carrots and cook for a minute or two until they are cooked but are still crunchy.
Step 3: Now add Teriyaki ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Add to the skillet, and let this mixture cook for two minutes.
Step 4: Now, add the cooked noodles and mix well so that the sauce coats the noodles.
Step 5: Garnish the noodles with green onions and basil leaves and serve.

- 8 ounces ramen noodle or angel hair pasta, ( I used gluten-free ramen noodles)
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 2 tablespoons roasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, cut into thin slices
- fresh basil leaves, for garnish
For The Teriyaki Sauce
- In a large pot, add water and place it on medium heat.
- Once the water starts to boil, add salt and noodles. Cook the noodles for 5 to 7 minutes or until al Dente.
- Drain the noodles, run cold water over them, and set them aside.
- In a bowl, add Bragg’s liquid aminos and maple syrup. Mix well and set it aside.
- Place a skillet over medium heat and add sesame oil.
- Once the oil heats up, add onion and cook for 2 minutes, stir in minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 20 to 30 seconds or until fragrant.
- Add carrots and cook for a minute.
- Combine Teriyaki sauce ingredients in a bowl, and mix well. Add to the skillet and cook until bubbly, about 1- 2 minutes.
- Add cooked noodles and mix well until everything is well combined.
- Garnish with green onions and basil leaves. Enjoy!
