It is blackberry season here in Florida between May and June and I have been enjoying fresh ripe blackberries. Whether you use storebought blackberries or freshly picked ones, my vegan blackberry cobbler is a must try. This easy blackberry cobbler is also gluten-free. Be sure to check out my Healthy Apple Crisp, Berry Crisp, and Strawberry Oat Bars.
My family enjoyed it so much, my hubby said it was definitely the best blackberry cobbler he has ever had, it was bursting with flavor. Here in the South, we get to enjoy blackberries early, so I am planning to go to the local farmers market weekly so I can keep making more.

Blackberry seeds are edible therefore they are quite okay to stay on the fruit although they can be annoying to eat. I personally don’t mind the seeds on my blackberries but you can remove the blackberry seeds.
To remove your blackberry seeds, place blackberries in a saucepan with water to cover, bring to a boil, reduce to simmer blackberries. until softened, about 8 minutes. Place blackberries in a fine mesh strainer over a bowl, using the back of a spoon mash blackberries and press on the strainer. The puree will pass through the strainer and the seeds remain inside.
