This Vegan Nacho Cheese Doritos Recipe is incredibly delicious. Now you can enjoy healthy tortilla chips that are also incredibly delicious, they have the perfect crunch in every bite, they will be loved by your family and a bonus because they are also dairy-free, gluten-free.

Vegan Nacho Cheese Doritos Recipe

Traditional nacho cheese Doritos are not vegan, so I’m so excited that I get to enjoy the cheesy flavor without dairy. They are kid-friendly, great for back to school lunch, appetizers at a party.

They are fun to make with children, you can also make some plain ones brush oil then baked with a sprinkle of salt.

I used uncooked organic corn tortillas which turned out very crunchy, but the next time I plan to use other gluten-free vegan tortilla brands on the market.

Homemade Doritos Ingredients

I used the nutritional yeast flakes to give a cheesy flavor, you can find nutritional yeast flakes at most major supermarkets, health food stores, or online on Amazon

  • Corn Tortilla
  • Oil
  • Nutritional Yeast Flakes
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Paprika
  • Cane Sugar
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt

How To Make Homemade Nacho Cheese Doritos?

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Brush oil on both sides of the tortillas, cut into wedges and place them in a bowl or zip lock bag.
  3. Combine nutritional yeast flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, paprika, cane sugar, cayenne pepper, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Add seasoning blend to the tortilla wedges and toss to coat.
  5. Place the tortilla wedges on a single layer on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway. being careful that they don’t burn.

    Sooo good! My chips weren’t all the way crispy. Do you think I should’ve left them in the oven a bit longer? Still good though. Thank you!

    1. Jacqueline, I’m happy you enjoyed the flavor, yes definitely leave them longer, you could even turn off the oven and allow the trapped heat to crisp them up but you would have to keep on eye on them so they don’t burn.
