Nacho Cheese Doritos Recipe

Traditional nacho cheese Doritos are not vegan, so I'm so excited that I get to enjoy the cheesy flavor without dairy, They are kid-friendly, great for back to school lunch, appetizers at a party.

They are fun to make with children, you can also make some plain ones brush oil then baked with a sprinkle of salt.

I used uncooked organic corn tortillas which turned out very crunchy, but the next time I plan to use other gluten-free vegan tortilla brands on the market.

Homemade Doritos Ingredients

I used the nutritional yeast flakes to give a cheesy flavor, you can find nutritional yeast flakes at most major supermarkets, health food stores, or online on Amazon

  • Corn Tortilla
  • Oil
  • Nutritional Yeast Flakes
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Paprika
  • Cane Sugar
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt

How To Make Homemade Nacho Cheese Doritos?

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Brush oil on both sides of the tortillas, cut into wedges and place them in a bowl or zip lock bag.
  3. Combine nutritional yeast flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, paprika, cane sugar, cayenne pepper, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Add seasoning blend to the tortilla wedges and toss to coat.
  5. Place the tortilla wedges on a single layer on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway. being careful that they don't burn.
