It’s summer and the blueberry season is here! Hooray! It is the time where we can enjoy the wonderful blueberries. We can make a lot of exciting snacks, desserts, and refreshing blueberry lemonade drinks with these.

In this article, I have written an easy blueberry lemonade recipe that stays for a few seasons but gives all the feel of a fresh summer drink.
Some people even add alcohol to make it a cocktail drink. But I have made it totally non-alcoholic and in a healthy way.

Extra Tips for Making Blueberry Lemonade
Everybody loves blueberry drinks, and for blueberry lemonade, it will be an amazing idea to add some juicy and tangy flavor to the menu. This blueberry lemonade recipe is so popular that many people love to have this refreshing summer drink. Summer parties or cooling off beside your pool or garden are the perfect times to have this beverage.
- If you want to have a strong taste of the tangy flavor, you can add more lemon juice. If you want to drink softer, you can add more water or less lemon juice to adjust the flavors of the drink.
- To garnish the drink, you can first add some ice cubes and blueberries. Then, pour the drink slowly on top of it. Finally, add some lemon slices or mint leaves for decoration. It will enhance the look of the drink, and you will enjoy it more.
- If you don’t have any lemon, you can use lime alternatively.
- Try to have more organic sweeteners as they are beneficial for your health.
- If you refrigerate the drink, then make sure to stir them well before you serve it.

Best Blueberries to Make Blueberry Lemonade?
Fresh blueberries are tasty to have, and you will enjoy the burst of juice when you eat it; it is mostly sweet, although it can be tangy. Unripe berries can taste tangy and can be much sourer like lemon.
So, when you make blueberry lemonade, you should avoid unripe or raw blueberries. This is because you will need to add too much sweetener, that will result in certain health issues and weight gain.
Some blueberries are very large berries and are known as being incredibly sweet. If you want to eat bigger and sweeter blueberries, you need to invest in some blueberry bushes. This way, you can cultivate your blueberries and wait until they are perfectly ripe.

Blueberry Lemonade Recipe:
- Blueberries
- Water
- Lemon juice
- Agave, sugar, or your favorite sweetener
- Some ice cubes
- Mint leaves for garnishing
Fresh vs. Frozen Blueberries: If you got fresh ripe blueberries to make this healthy refreshing drink, I would recommend using that. But, if you have stored some blueberries, then you can use the frozen ones as well.
Garnishes: If you want to garnish the blueberry lemonade drink, consider adding mint leaves or lemon slices and some blueberries.
How to Make a Blueberry Lemonade?
- Get some lemons and squeeze them until you get ½ cup lemon juice and reserve the juice.
- In a high-speed blender jar, add the blueberries and water. Start processing the mixture until it is smooth enough.
- Strain the smooth blueberry mixture using a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag. Pour the strained blueberry juice mixture into a pitcher.
- Add lemon juice and agave nectar or any of your favorite sweeteners into the blueberry juice.
- If you want to add sugar to the juice, then you can start with dissolving it. To do this, take a saucepan, add sugar, and 1 cup water. Next, turn the heat on and stir it until the sugar is dissolved at medium temperature.
- Add preferable sweeteners and mix them thoroughly until they are completely dissolved.
- You can put the drink in the refrigerator to cool it. Then, for serving immediately, you can put some ice cubes and pour the blueberry lemonade.
- You can add some mint leaves or blueberries or lemon slices to garnish it and serve!

- 2 cups blueberries
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 cup lemon juice, (about 4 lemons)
- 1/4 cup agave nectar or cane sugar
