However, if you can’t find russet potatoes, you can also use Yukon Gold. They are also ideal for baked potato chips and crisp up just as nicely as any other.
Secrets to baking potato chips
Baking the perfect potato crisps might seem an easy task, but you have to take care of a few things to get everything right. Here are a few pro tips that will help you achieve perfect results.
- Make sure you cut all the potato slices of equal thickness. As a result, all the potato chips will have the same texture. When you don’t cut them with the same thickness, the final product will not only have different textures but will also result in uneven cooking. Some will cook through faster, while others will be undercooked. In other words, you will have to check every single slice, and it will be very inconvenient for you.
