Air Fryer Frozen Burger
Air fryer frozen burger is the simplest way to prepare a tasty and juicy burger! There is no need to defrost, and cleanup is easy. A great weeknight dinner that your family will surely enjoy!
Cooking frozen food might be challenging. You can either wait to defrost or risk the final product becoming hard and rubbery. There is, thankfully, the third option: use your air fryer!
As a professional chef, I have a wide range of tools and gadgets, so I am picky about what I let take up space on my counter. My air fryer, unsurprisingly, takes up FRONT and CENTER space.
The air fryer is redefining the way I cook my food in the kitchen. I’ve already shared how to prepare Air Fryer fries, Garlic Bread in Air Fryer, Air Fryer Falafel Salad Bowl, and my other Best Air Fryer Vegan Recipes.
I have been frequently asked: can we cook frozen burgers in an air fryer? My answer is always Yes; frozen burgers can be cooked in the air fryer.
My freezer is always stocked with burger patties, and my family never refuses burger night. It’s a win-win situation for everyone! Plus, making them in the air fryer just takes 20 minutes or less to go from the freezer to the table.
To prepare this recipe, you only need frozen burger patties and a couple of hamburger buns. You may even skip the bun and have a burger with your favorite toppings if you’re on a keto or low-carb diet. It’s the ideal weeknight supper that the whole family will enjoy.

That being said, I cannot stress enough how much I recommend you to forego fast food in favor of these delectable air fryer frozen burgers.
Do You Need To Thaw Frozen Burgers Before Air Frying?
No, the burger patties don’t need to be thawed. Simply place the frozen burgers in the preheated air fryer and begin air frying.
Thawed: If you’re using thawed patties, simply reduce the cooking time. Frozen patties will cook faster than thawed patties.
Following your first batch, you’ll develop a better understanding of the optimal timing for your air fryer and patty brand. Every air fryer cooks differently, and everybody has a varied preference for how do they want their burger patties.
How to Make an Air Fryer Frozen Burger?
There’s a long list of ingredients to make an Air Fryer Frozen Burger. Really😲? No, sorry, I’m just kidding. You’ll only require:
Ingredients
- 2 Frozen Burgers
Directions
- Preheat the Air Fryer at 380 degrees F.
- Add the frozen vegan burgers to the air fryer basket.
- Cook burgers for 8 minutes, then flip the burgers and cook for another 8 minutes.
- You can add a slice of vegan cheese around the last minute to melt the cheese.
- Remove burger and place on top your burger bun, top with your favorite toppings.
Topping Ideas For Burgers
- Sauces such as Barbecue sauce and Vegan Cheese Sauces can be added.
- A burger can be elevated by using different varieties of lettuce and greens. Arugula, spinach, red leaf, green leaf, and butter leaf all make excellent burger toppings.
- Top with tomato and onion slices.
Recipe Notes
- Spray oil on both sides of the burger to make them juicy and prevent them from drying out.
- Do not overcrowd or overlap the basket of your air fryer. Make sure the burgers have enough space in the air-fryer basket to lay flat.
- For about a minute, air-fried your burger buns. The texture of warm burger buns is incredible.
- This recipe can be prepared in an air fryer basket or an air fryer oven. If you’re using an air fryer, use the center rack and the “Air Fry” mode.
- Patties come in different sizes and types. This recipe serves as a “starting point” for making two patties. Depending on the type and size of your patties, adjust the cooking time.
- Furthermore, air fryers come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Each air fryer operates differently. Please spend some time getting to know your air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, you may need to adjust the recipe times and temperatures accordingly.
- Add 2 tablespoons of water inside the basket to prevent the air fryer from smoking. Or, put a slice of bread between the baskets of the air fryer to absorb the grease. This makes cleanup a little easier as well.
