This silky smooth carob mousse is very addictive. The addition of avocado that contains healthy fats make it so good for you. A nice way to add avocado in a recipe for picky eaters and they won’t even know it. I made this for breakfast this morning and I really enjoyed it. You can substitute maple syrup with your favorite sweetener. I garnished it with carob chips.

Carob mousse can be used as a frosting for your favorite cake, or as an ice cream or as a pie. I plan to post more recipes using carob mousse soon.


  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons carob powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)


Peel avocado and discard pit. Place it in a food processor with coconut cream, banana, maple syrup, carob powder, vanilla and sea salt. Process until smooth. Serve immediately or keep refrigerated.
