I wanted to make an easy tofu crumbles that didn’t require tons of ingredients nor a typical Southwestern flavor with chili powder, cumin, and paprika. This Cajun/Creole tofu crumble is a game-changer, because it requires few ingredients, tastes phenomenal.

It is vegan, gluten-free,dairy-free, and incredibly flavorful, another amazing Cajun-inspired recipe to make are Cajun Oven Baked Potato Wedges, Cajun Bake Mac And Cheese, Cajun Quinoa Pilaf, and Cajun Tofu Salad

Cajun Tofu Crumbles

Homemade Cajun Tofu Crumbles are so easy to prepare, it is great to add it to your meal prep rotation, you can easily prepare it and use it as a part of your dishes to add extra protein to your diet. This base recipe is perfect as is, or you can then add extra spices and herbs if you chose to,  depending on the dish you are adding it to.

Cajun Tofu Crumbles Ingredients

  • Tofu – for the tofu, I prefer to use only extra-firm or super-firm for a firmer texture. You can also freeze your tofu and defrost before making the crumbles. Freezing the tofu changes the texture, making it firmer and spongy.
  • Olive Oil – the oil helps the seasonings stick better but you can make it oil-free.
  • Bragg’s Liquid Aminos – substitute with soy sauce or tamari.
  • Nutritional Yeast Flakes – sold at health food stores or online.
  • Cajun/Creole Seasoning – used store-bought brands or make your own Homemade Creole Seasoning.
