I’m using my Instant Pot almost on a daily basis; apart from my blender, it is now my most frequently used kitchen gadget. Therefore, I now have a bunch of vegetarian Instant Pot recipes.
If you are busy, which most moms are, then having an Instant Pot is a great idea. You can set the Instant Pot and go attend to something else. It even keeps the dish warm for hours!
What Is An Instant Pot?
An Instant Pot is seemingly a magical multipurpose cooker that has transformed cooking for me. Instead of having to have 3 or more separate alliances, the Instant Pot functions as a slow cooker, pressure cooker, rice cooker, and even more.
It even has a Sauté function so I can prepare my onion and garlic base before cooking soups, stews, and curries. There is almost nothing I can’t throw in my Instant Pot! I find it so useful I actually own multiple Instant Pots of different sizes.
Is An Instant Pot A Pressure Cooker?
Yes, the Instant Pot technically is a pressure cooker since it includes that function. I feel safer using it as well, since it has built in safety measures not seen in the older pressure cookers I used back in the day.
A pressure cooker is so intimidating, especially for young or beginner cooks. This is unfortunate, since pressure cooking is so useful for foods that would normal take a longer amount of time to cook.
Instead of soaking beans overnight, they can be cooked in less than an hour to tender perfection. For this reason, I’m so glad that there is now a device that can make cooking feel more accessible to everyone.
Vegetarian Instant Pot Recipes
I have already mentioned my profound appreciation for my Instant Pot, so it should come as no surprise that many of my recipes are made in the Instant Pot. It is especially useful for cooking soups, stews, and brown rice.
Many people may be used to seeing one pot dishes containing meat in the Instant Pot. Since meat tends to take longer to cook, it’s a no brainer as to why an Instant Pot would come in handy.
But what about for vegans, vegetarians, and anyone who eats lots of plant based meals? Is an Instant Pot still a smart investment? ABSOLUTELY!
As you will see in this list, you could very well find yourself using your Instant Pot every single day!
