My best avocado recipes

Avocado is a fruit that is rich in nutrients and gives you many health benefits. Unlike many fruits rich in carbohydrates, avocado is high in the number of healthy fats, minerals, and vitamins. All of these promote health and boost your immune system. Many studies have given that many consumptions of avocado lead to better absorption and a lower BMI that is body mass index, compared to those who don’t eat them.

Because of the high amount of benefits stored in avocado, this fruit is used in many recipes. We give you the best avocados recipes that you can use in your daily life and get better health.

Are avocados good for you?

Avocado is technically a fruit that is high in nutrients and offers a lot of health benefits, however, are avocados good for you?

Unlike most fruits that are high in carbohydrates, avocado is high in healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals, all of which promote health and boost your immune system.

Many studies have shown that frequent consumption of avocado can lead to better nutrient absorption and a low body mass index compared to those who don’t eat them.

How to cut an avocado?

A lot like a peach or a plum, avocados have a huge singular seed in the very center of it. This pit may cause big difficulty when you are trying to cut the fruit open. Unlike a plum or peach, you don’t want the whole exterior of the avocado to the consumer. When you are eating this fruit, you have to remove the pit and then peel to enjoy the internal green flesh of the avocado. It is very important to know how you must cut this fruit to don’t waste any part of it. Read more here!

How to freeze avocado?

Buying avocados… sometimes they’re unripe, overripe, or just taste bad. To make sure you always have good ones, learn how to freeze an avocado!

The supermarket usually does not have ready-to-eat avocados all the time. Sometimes they are sold out just when you want them, or they have avocados but they are green and rock hard. This is why it makes sense to know how to freeze avocado.

Frozen avocados are great for adding to smoothies, desserts, sauces, and guacamole. It takes out some of the difficulty of not being able to obtain a ripe avocado right when you need it. Read how to freeze avocado here!

This Loaded Guacamole recipe is absolutely delicious, it is, to say the least addictive! Packed with tomato, onion, garlic, bell pepper, crunchy cucumber, and a touch of lime juice. Your guests will keep coming back for more and more!

Avocado milk:

This avocado milk is easy, super allergy-friendly, quick, and delicious. You just need a few ingredients and to take about 5 minutes to make it. Avocado milk is a creamy and sweet drink. It is a bit thick and also gets a bit thicker when it is chilled. The taste of avocado doesn’t seem like most fruit, and not everyone likes it, but it is so creamy.

This avocado milk doesn’t have a strong avocado flavor – pretty mild and very versatile. I have used vanilla extract in this recipe so my recipe is perfumed heavily with vanilla than avocado. If you don’t want vanilla extract, you can skip it.

Mango avocado salsa:

This easy Mango Avocado Salsa recipe is so flavorful, with its juicy ripe mango, creamy avocado, sharp onion, zesty lime, and herby cilantro. It is the perfect taco or burger topping.

This fresh Mango Avocado Salsa is ideal for the hot summer months. I love both mangoes and avocados, what better way to enjoy them both than in this refreshing salsa, a truly memorable taste of the tropics.

Growing up in Jamaica, we had a lot of mangoes and avocados but we never had them together in the same dish. I was amazed at how delicious they tasted together in this salsa! The juicy and sweet taste of the mangoes and grape tomatoes with the creamy flesh of the avocados is a perfect combo.

For this super easy, yet filling recipe: I toast my bread, then, I season black beans with cumin, garlic and a sprinkle of salt. Then, I prepare onions, tomatoes, corn and finally mash avocados and add lime juice, cilantro, and salt.  Next, I layer toast and enjoy.

Green detox smoothie:

I love this easy and delicious Green Detox Smoothie. It has lots of minerals and vitamins to help you on a health or weight loss journey.

Drinking green detox smoothies ensure that you consume more nutrients and live enzymes in a meal than you may eat for days. It can be difficult to cook and eat so many different vegetables, especially on those busy workdays.

A quick green smoothie will help you get a huge load of nutrients to start your day. I also sometimes drink this for lunch as a midday recharge.

We got these plantains and I decided to use them as a base in this recipe. I baked them in the oven, while I prepared the guacamole. The pineapple guacamole was so delicious and such a perfect compliment. You can substitute my Homemade Guacamole recipe for a more savory recipe.

Avocado lime popsicles:

A smooth and creamy avocado lime popsicle is just made with creamy banana, avocado, coconut cream, and lime for rich and flavorful treats.

I love popsicles that are creamy because they remind me of my childhood love for what we called ‘fudge’ in Jamaica. They were more like ice cream made into popsicles.

Last summer, my son Daevyd requested lots of popsicles, so I made them in many different flavors. They were healthy and better than the sugar-laden ones in the grocery stores.

Vegan broccoli salad:

Take plain old broccoli to the next level with this Vegan Broccoli Salad. It is made of roasted broccoli florets, with a creamy avocado basil dressing.

It is a great salad for detoxing, especially for someone on phase 1 of the candida diet (omit maple syrup). I enjoyed the combination of broccoli with creamy avocado and the crunchy sunflower seeds. This salad was very enjoyable, and can’t wait to make it again.

These were some of the top recipes you can make out of avocado and enjoy treats like never before.
